Zunova Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Zunova stores your expenses, reminders and categories in Supabase; it sends your voice recordings to ElevenLabs to turn them into text, and that text to Anthropic to work out what you meant. There is no advertising, no trackers and no analytics of any kind.

Who is responsible

Sergio Nicolás Guijo Sastoque, based in Australia, is responsible for the information Zunova collects. He decides what data is collected, what it is used for, and who it is shared with.

For any question or request about your data, write to nicolas@zunova.me.

This policy covers the Zunova mobile app on iPhone and Android. It does not cover the third-party services named below, which have their own policies.

What we collect

Everything Zunova stores, you put there. The app does not read information from other apps on your phone, or from your contacts, calendar, photos or location.

InformationWhat it includes
Your accountYour email and password, or your Apple or Google identity if you sign in that way. Your name, if you choose to add one. The currency you pick and your plan type.
Your expenses and incomeAmount, category, description, date, and whether it is income or an expense.
Your reminders and eventsTitle, category, date, time and color.
Your own categoriesName and color.

Your password is handled by Supabase, the service that stores the information. Zunova never sees it or stores it.

How voice works

Your recording is not stored anywhere. It is deleted from your phone as soon as it is turned into text, and neither the audio nor the transcript ever reaches the database.

The full journey of a recording, start to finish.

Three things worth underlining:

  • The audio is always deleted, even if the conversion fails or the connection drops.
  • The transcript is not stored either. It only appears on the confirmation screen for you to review. The only thing that reaches the database is what you accept and save.
  • Text you type takes the same path. What you type into the field on the home screen is also sent to Anthropic to be interpreted, exactly like a recording.

Who we share it with

Five services, each with one specific job. None of them receives your password, and none of them receives anything for advertising purposes.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with what it receives.

Beyond this, your information may be disclosed if a competent authority requires it by law.

What we don't do

Zunova carries no advertising or measurement system at all. Specifically:

  • We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not hand it over for commercial purposes.
  • There is no advertising inside the app.
  • There are no trackers and no analytics. Zunova does not record which screens you open, how long you spend on them, or which buttons you tap.
  • There is no automatic crash reporting that sends your information anywhere.
  • We do not build profiles about you and we do not make automated decisions that affect you.
  • We do not access your contacts, calendar, photos or location. The app does not even ask for those permissions.

Phone permissions

Zunova asks for three permissions, and you can withdraw any of them at any time from your phone's settings.

PermissionWhat forIf you refuse
MicrophoneRecording when you tap the voice buttonYou can keep using the app by typing
NotificationsAlerting you about your remindersReminders are saved, but they will not alert you
Exact alarms and boot (Android only)Making reminders arrive on time and keep working after you restart your phoneAlerts may arrive late or not at all

The microphone activates only when you tap the voice button. Zunova does not listen in the background and does not record unless you ask it to.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to:

  • See what information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your account and all your information.
  • Take your data with you in a file you can use elsewhere.
  • Object to a specific use, or withdraw your consent.
  • Complain to the data protection authority in your country.

Three of these you can do yourself, without writing to anyone: in Settings you can change your name, change your currency and delete your account.

For anything else, write to nicolas@zunova.me. We respond within the deadline set by the law in your country, and where none applies, within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, the law may give you additional rights: Ley 1581 of 2012 in Colombia, the GDPR in Europe, or the Privacy Act in Australia.

How long we keep your information

For as long as you have an account. Your expenses and reminders stay there until you delete them, or until you delete your account.

When you delete your account from Settings, everything is removed: your sign-in, your expenses, your reminders and your own categories. This cannot be undone and there is no way to recover the information afterwards.

Server backups may retain your information for a limited time before being overwritten, as happens with any database.

To prevent abuse of the AI features, we keep a record of the date and time of each voice or text request made from your account. We delete these records automatically after 48 hours and use them for nothing else.

Voice recordings are not part of this, because they are never stored in the first place.

Security and where it is stored

Your information travels encrypted between your phone and the servers, and access to your data requires that you be signed in to your account.

The services we use run servers outside Colombia and Australia, mainly in the United States and Europe. By using Zunova, your information may be processed and stored in those countries.

No system is completely secure. If a security failure affects your information, we will tell you and notify the relevant authority, as the law in your country requires.

Children

Zunova is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under that age, we delete it along with their information.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child created an account, write to nicolas@zunova.me and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

When something changes, we update this document and the date at the top. If the change is substantial — a new service that starts receiving your information, for example — we will tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
